THE DAILY BUZZ   NAHB: Shortages are 'Cause for Concern'   The NAHB Chief Economist David Crowe and the NLBMDA president and CEO Michael O'Brian are both 'concerned' about the results of the NAHB/Wells Fargo HMI survey released yesterday. The survey results pointed to shortages with OSB, wall board, framing lumber and plywood. The market was higher in after-hours trade anticipating follow through cash sales off of increased export activity on low grade lumber. The contracts jumped through "stop loss" buying above the previous day's highs but gradually sold off on mixed selling in late night trade. At the opening bell a better than expected Existing Home Sales Report surpassing 5 million units for the first time in over 3 years as well as other analysts bullish expectations for housing took the market up into the middle layer of chart related resistance on featured profit taking short covering. ...Click here to read the rest of this article.
