| Fire Salvage Timber Sale in WA |

| A proposed timber sale in the area damaged by last year's Cascade Creek Fire will require an emergency determination by the forest service if logging is to commence this year. the area in question consists of mostly old growth trees, the plan for the salvage operation is to leave all living trees standing as well as some of the dead in order to provide wildlife habitat. An estimated 1.65 million board feet are included in the proposal. More on this story is included in today's Industry News category.

| Lumber Futures moderated early in the week searching for fair value near the 200 month moving average and then staged a two day rally off of technical buying and short covering. Prices were higher in the after-hours market on continued buying following yesterdays bullish close.
