| Relief for High Lumber Prices |

| Currently high lumber prices, driven by a shortage as mills are unable to meet demand, may find some relief in the coming months. Lumber futures saw prices fall to their lowest price in 17 months based on speculation that mills will be able to increase output an boost inventory. "Supply is coming back on stream and catching up to demand," said Steven Chercover, an analyst at DA Davidson & Co. in Lake Oswego, Ore yesterday in a report. "Workers are returning to the mills and the timberlands. | U.S. stocks rallied and treasury yields soared yesterday as investors were encouraged by positive U.S. economic data and signs of support for stimulus programs from the Japanese and European central banks. In New York, the Dow Jones gained 106.29 points to end at a record 15,409.39. Canada's main stock index rose yesterday, led by the energy and financial sectors.
