| Weaker cash prices closed lumber futures lower for the fourth consecutive day. The market was flat to down in the after-hours on lower reported cash prices from soft demand. The front May contract fell into the $358.00 - $352.70 gap left from the open on February 1st where profit taking short covering with some technical buying on oversold indicators lent support. Lumber inched higher but lacked energy and then slipped back off the highs. New recent lows were made on featured "stop loss" selling near and into yesterday's lows where prices consolidated in the lower end of the day's range. ...Click here to read the rest of this article. |
