| Canadian Lumber Producers Jammed Up By Railways |

| Due to shortages in rail cars, Canadian lumber producers are facing lost sales and diminishing market shares just as the U.S. housing recovery moves into high gear. "Slowly but surely, the lumber and panel and pulp markets are coming back and it's getting more difficult to supply as quickly and as consistently as possible, especially with just-in-time delivery becoming commonplace," says Doug Routledge, acting president of the B.C. | Lumber futures lost ground for the third consecutive day and closed modestly lower after trading above the previous day's lows. Mixed profit taking short covering outpaced long liquidation which helped to stabilize Lumber after falling to new recent lows Thursday.
